Get a closer look at the devices that protect your business
Alarm panels are the actual heart of the alarm system. An alarm panel handles the communications, the keypad output you see, and all the sensors that are attached to the system. Most alarm panels have come a far way from being a bulky box that simply alerts you in case of an intrusion. By now most of the panels can handle a multitude of communications, such as GSM communications and IP communications. Furthermore, these panels have also become much smarter. The panels have advanced security features built into them, allow for remote access and can connect to smart devices, such as thermostats and door locks.
Honeywell Lynx
They Lynx is Honeywell’s first all-in-one alarm panel. The unit contains a touchscreen, all communications, the mainboard and a backup battery, all in the same casing. This allows for a quick and easy installation, but also gives you an easy to use and nice looking alarm panel. We recommend the Lynx for small businesses and homes. For larger businesses we recommend the Vista series.
Honeywell Vista
The Vista series has been around since the 60s. It has definitely proven its worth. The Vista panel is a hybrid panel, allowing for wired and wireless connections of sensors. All keypads will have to be wired into the Vista panel. The Vista panel is recommended for large business installs and installs that require multiple touchscreens. The Vista series is also more cost effective when installing an alarm system during new construction or renovations.
DSC
DSC provides a variety of alarm systems, that can be used for all purposes. From all-in-one units to hardwired panels, DSC can provide it all. We recommend DSC alarm panels for installations that are to be paired with the Kantech Access Control line of products. DSC panels also offer interactive features that allow you to remotely control the panel and smart devices around your premises.
